Architectural programme in BamideleOlumilua University of Education Science and Technology is set to develop and impart architectural education responsive to our environment and the needs of the people with a view to produce competent, creative, skilled and versatile individuals capable of analyzing the dynamic challenges associated with the design and construction of spaces for human and activities as well as evolving appropriate efficient and effective solutions. The department also intends to produce graduates of international standard, with appropriate knowledge and skills in the field of study that are employable and be employers of labour.
The programme is designed to harness modern technology especially ICT that can ensure high quality research and design activities that will promote social development. The course shall probe environmental problems relating to Architecture of the community and attempt to proffer realistic and creative solutions.
The department adopted the national two-tier professional training of Architects with the production of the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree graduates in the first and second tier programmes respectively. The department will produce Bachelor of Science in Architecture graduates in the first instance based on NUC approval and Post Graduate training in the future subject to NUC accreditation. The BOESTI architecture is the first department of architecture established in Ekiti-State government owned higher institution of learning.
Architecture is a visual art and the buildings speak for themselves.
Julia MorganCandidates must have five credits in O’ level or SSCE or NECO at not more than two sittings. Candidates who have successfully completed the Senior Secondary School or its equivalent and obtained five credit level passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and two other subjects from the following list will be eligible for admission. Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Geography, Economics, Building Construction and Land Surveying.

Direct Entry candidates must fulfill the conditions in a (above) and have a minimum of Upper Credit at the OND examination or equivalent in at least two science subjects including Mathematics or Physics to qualify for admission into 200 level of the programme.
Candidates who hold Higher National Diploma (HND) (at not less than Upper Credit level) Certificate in Architecture may be considered for admission into the 300 - level of the programmesubject to satisfactory pairing of courses passed in the previous institutions with those offered in the Department. Candidates must also satisfy in addition to the general conditions stipulated above.
Holders of National Diploma (ND/OND) or its equivalent at not less than Upper Credit level in Building, Architecture, Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering may be considered for direct entity to 200 level provided that they score not less than Upper credit (60%) at OND level and the subjects passed must include Mathematics and other science courses offered at OND II level (for example, basic courses in Structures and Building Science).
INTER-UNIVERSITY TRANSFER CASES:Candidates wishing to transfer from any approved Architecture School may be allowed to transfer to BOUESTI for a very good reason and to the appropriate level. For Direct entry, any deficiencies in the background of any category should be rectified by taking appropriate courses.
